Thank you, Shiloh 💖🙏🏼🧶 for this beautiful, loving message.

You inspire me to write down what my mom says. My mom taught me this difference between responding and reacting in my late teens. I’m asking her to write down her wisdom for me as she feels called to in a journal. I often write down her words of wisdom on post-it’s when we talk.

I’ve been wanting you to know that on Monday, 1/20, I’ll be with our clients at the little slice of heaven I continue to work at while my private practice builds. I’m choosing to be part of the skeleton crew on Monday because some of our clients are deeply concerned about their safety and rights as transgender people. I take comfort in knowing folks are coming to New Jersey seeking refuge in outpatient counseling since the election. They are finding unconditional love and acceptance here, having left their states that no longer support their medical needs or rights to transition. They feel unsafe to live in places they have families and careers. I’m grateful that on Monday morning we are taking them thrift store shopping; the clients asked. They’re looking forward to us being together. We’re creating fun and levity.

If I’d taken the day off which was an option or if we were closed, I’d join your Repatterning class. In my own way, I’m repatterning with our clients on Monday and continue to in my personal growth with my new IFS certified therapist.

I wanted to check in with you and let know what I’m up to these days. I love you!! I’m glad you’re taking good care of yourself, Shiloh.

Love, prayers, and gratitude,

Anna Louise 💖
