I was just telling Clair (Oaks) how much it meant to me when I came to California a few years ago for a painting retreat and how absolutely you made me feel like I belonged even tho I was a relative newbie to the community. I really believed you then that I was an important part of what you were creating and it made me feel so special. I didn't know what to do with it because I had not been a person who easily feels like I belong. Your red thread has reached so far and wide. I'm so grateful I was on the recieving end of it. And still am.
