Hello Everyone! This three part series starts RIGHT here. I will be sharing an un-hinged view of the changes I am hoping we can make together regarding women’s stories. Three podcasts in three days breaking it DOWN. So we can bulid up something living.
Those who are called to become the Shereo of your own story and who want to experience my new work - join us for Exotic Creatures - no woman ever regretted spending a few days listening to the new story that wants to emerge AND making a painting that goes along with the narrative that is ready to emerge
Transcript:
This week, I am introducing a three-part series about reimagining women in modern mythologies versus mythologies of the past. It's going to take a little while to unpack because I'm going to be taking on some cherished mythologies and worldviews and frameworks, and let me just tell you that among the mythologers and the people who follow story… anytime I've brought this up that I think something needs to change… I've gotten shut down in so many different ways.
I'm finally brave enough right now because I feel we are at a critical threshold for women to choose the mythologies that are near and dear to them that promote them in equity and power and possibility and pleasure instead of continually making deals with the underworld in order to survive. So this three-part series leads also directly into my upcoming event that you can attend via livestream Live with me broadcasting from Musea Center in Sonoma with a two-woman film crew.
Or you can also join it starting September 1st, it is available for a year in On Demand. The course Exotic Creatures, you can find it at www.intentionalcreativity.life. Explore if you might be open to and excited and willing to… become the hero of your own unfolding legend at this time. It's time, y'all. It's time for a change.
The stories that we've been telling ourselves about ourselves are no longer working for us. Yet to emerge new mythologies, these aren't just imagined retellings or regurgitations of the stories of the past where there's hardly ever any equity for the feminine, even in the many of the Goddess circles and stories…We need more than just a retelling.
It's not a regurgitation. It's actually something else. It doesn't come from the re-chewing and vomiting up of the old stories. We can literally let those old stories be a foundation. And yes, I'm talking about some of the stories in Women Who Run With The Wolves. Yes, I'm taking on directly the idea that there needs to come a point in each woman's evolution to where instead of rehashing and spending her time on stories of injustice, inequity, capture, violence, rape, coercion, narcissism, oh my gosh, when are we gonna move on to some other mythologies?
So part of what we do in our work, part of our lineage is to reimagine yourself as the shero of your own story. We create a badass, brave, intuitive painting that comes directly from the unconscious and the subconscious and the adjacent consciousness. The critic and the muse get their panties up in a wad and decide to help you out, all of them together, all resources coming to your aid to give birth to something fresh, something new, something that isn't just a rehashing.
The old stories are foundational, great. They are compost beneath your feet. They are growing some wildflowers and some mushrooms and providing some sustenance for the ground of the forest.
But you, You are ready to stop being an endangered species. This is your time to stop endangering yourself as a part of a collective narrative. It's over now for those of you who choose. We are moving on. We are turning on and tuning in and moving forward with narratives that don't require us to continue to negotiate the lesser of two evils. It's over. Are you ready for something else?
Then tune in for this week's three-part series. I'll be posting the first one in a couple of hours. And then if you feel called, come on. What have you got to lose? Join me for exotic creatures. There's payment plans. If you need more than that, ask for it support@musea.org Make time. Make time for you. When you make a brave, intuitive painting that comes from your intuition and the hidden rooms locked inside of you, you break out of Bluebeard's dungeon. Fuck the bloody keys. Let's get over it and into something else.
I'm no longer allowing for my skin to be taken by a fisherman in exchange for a child. And I want to hang out with sisters who are going to overturn the fisherman's boat. So if you're one of them, who's not just going to wait and see what happens when the Selkie is stolen to live with the fisherman. If you're one of those who's ready instead of even negotiating with Baba Yaga, from a place of fear and life-saving, moving out of the life-saving conversation, and taking up residence as a co-leader with Baba Yaga, whatever that means to you.
The old myths are ready to evolve. We are in late-stage, extractive capitalism, patriarchal, crumbling BS.
It's not only dangerous to women and children on Earth, it's boring and we're ready to move on. Watching all of that crash around us, we move forward. We can do it. And painting is the best way I know how to do it. You do not have to be good at painting. You have to wield a big brush, a lot of water, some wild colors with some wild women and brave it. Brave it with me. Be the first to experience this new work. Starting Friday.
