Remembering a deep life in ancient Egypt where I was a priestess in one of the temples ...for Sekhmet I believe...My Guides have explained that I worked with men coming back from conflict to help them relax, and be able to move back into their normal lives. To do that one of the thing s used was a tea from the Blue Lotus which grew around the temple in ponds. It is still available today as an aphrodisiac,ED medicine, antidepressant and mild stimulant. That symbol of the Blue Lotus as a healing plant has stuck with me and is often included in many of my paintings. It just feels as though it belongs there. . Our current work that centers on a sensuous view of all of life and erotivism naturally includes the beautiful medicine flower. I was surprised to find that Tutankhamun's tomb contained a beautiful alabaster cup with blue hieroglyphics. perhaps related to the blue color of the Lotus and perhaps used to drink that brew as well., perhaps for ceremony. It is now called a Wishing Cup.
The thoughts came to me then, how do the colors of my food interact with my body? ...how is orange's conversation with my gut different than the blue? Do my eyes sense and send messages about that food and its energy to my brain to record and take into account for sensing its taste and smell. I am now aware of the smell of many more things and its interesting and newly observed by me.
