I love this. It's so true. I live in a 300 sq. ft. studio, and I am utilizing what I used as a "living space" with a small chair and coffee table. I moved all the furniture around and voila! I have a studio. It's small, but it has all that I need: canvassess, a table with my supplies, paints, brushes, along with a small 3 tier cart for the overflow. I feel butterflies circling in my belly, preparing for their launch on June 1. I am so blessed and full of joy!

I’m so happy you have a designated creative space for yourself again. I am away from my art studio while care taking my daughter Bridgee in California and I miss it. I have been drawing, writing, and playing on my iPad a lot more. Either way I am the muse and the muse is me.

Your studio space is magnificent!!! and what you have shared is so true!!! currently my studio is in my kitchen/DR/LR- the place in the house where i spend most of my waking hours. my fantasy is to move it into the humongous LR on the other side of the house which is where i first envisioned it when i bought the house. it will happen in time. then there is the garage aspect.....a friend and i brainstormed just the other day about how to make THAT happen- with big glass on the eastern and western sides, sun tubes for daylight in the inner areas. it has lots of room, power for a heat source, and i oh-so-want to make it happen. but the LR is an easier fix, so that will likely happen this summer, when i get several strong friends to help me take apart the heavy table in the current DR and set it back up in the LR. SO looking forward to the space, the light, the energy.... a portrait of my muse is already in there, just waiting for me to join her.....
