My memoir continues with Chapter 12 … these can be listened to standalone or in order.
For those of you listening to my memoir, of course I had no idea what I was getting myself into and most days I want to quit. I don’t even know if anyone’s listening. I’m having a hard time wondering why it matters. I just have to do it for me until I don’t feel like doing it anymore, this episode finds me crying. I tell the story of my mother marrying a black man and living in a white town and the experiment of a mixed race family. I apologize in advance for anything that may be offensive.
It was a hard episode to get through and to try not to edit my language. It’s my story and my experience and I haven’t told it very often, so there’s a rawness here. Not very elegant.
I am not able to stick to my 10 minute limit so I’m gonna just let that go. There is one more episode dedicated to this Part of the story where I actually choose to go back to school in San Francisco.
